Pastry workshop with Valentina Buchara at Mescladís Borrell: technique and collective learning

From July 7 to 10, our school restaurant Mescladís Borrell became a laboratory of creativity. During those days we had the pastry chef Valentina Buchara, who gave an intensive pastry workshop for the training team of Mescladís and the students of the Cuinant Oportunitats program.

Sessions were held with the active participation of students from the morning and afternoon shifts. The kitchens were filled with sponge cakes, pies and cookies, but above all with enthusiasm, concentration and learning. Valentina shared not only her technical knowledge, but also her passion, her detailed approach and her ability to motivate through doing.
This type of experience strengthens our commitment to an integral education that combines technique, reflection and human accompaniment.

Cuinant Oportunitats: training by cooking, growing by working

Cuinant Oportunitats is a training program that facilitates job placement in the hospitality industry for people in vulnerable situations, through a comprehensive methodology that expands opportunities and the network of contacts, strengthening both personal skills and professional competencies.
The training takes place in the real context of our school restaurants, providing students with a professional environment where they can apply what they have learned and prepare themselves optimally for their future integration into the labor market.

The program is aimed at people with or without previous experience interested in the field of professional cooking, and combines theoretical and practical training hours.
Thanks to initiatives such as this workshop with Valentina Buchara, we reinforce the quality of our pedagogical proposal and broaden the training horizons of those who trust Mescladís to build new professional training paths.
