Social Kintsugi: Repairing for Transformation
At Mescladís we believe in the power of transforming the broken into something beautiful and meaningful. Under this premise, the Kintsugi Social project was born, inspired by the ancient Japanese art of repairing ceramics with gold thread, where scars become symbols of resilience and beauty.
This was the first workshop of this new alliance between Mescladís Cultural Production Company and Saó Pratwithin the framework of the Concurs Convite 2025/2026. This meeting, held in the Saó Disseny space, brought together young talents from the Cuinant Oportunitats program to reflect on their own personal and social fissures, and turn them into strength and creativity.
During the collective laboratory, the concept of Social Kintsugi was used to reflect, create, repair and share powerful processes that will become the basis for the next campaign of the Concurs Convite. This contest, promoted by the socio-cultural project Convit/e, invites artists to cross gastronomy, human rights and creativity every year. For the 2025/2026 edition, the thematic axis will be precisely this idea of reconstruction from vulnerability.

Partnership with Impacto Social
The campaign will be co-created with the Saó Disseny team, an association that since 2004 generates real opportunities for young people and children through design with social impact. Together, we seek to amplify creativity to build a fairer and more inclusive future.
💥 We tear at the seams to sew them with gold. We transform cracks into strength.
Convit/e: Culture and Social Transformation
The Convite Contest is part of Convit/eMescladís ' editorial project that connects gastronomy, culture and human rights. Each edition brings together artists and collectives committed to social creation, making visible practices that cross the culinary with the community.
