Hiring Program for Vulnerable Individuals

Mescladís has received a grant from the Catalan Public Employment Service (SOC), co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus, to promote the hiring of people in the most vulnerable situations. This is another step toward making employment a gateway rather than a barrier.

At Mescladís, we believe that an employment contract is much more than just a formality. It means stability, autonomy, and the chance to plan for the future. That is why we are pleased to announce that our organization has received a grant from the Catalan Public Employment Service (SOC) to support the hiring of people in particularly vulnerable situations.

This initiative is co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), under the 2021–2027 ESF+ Program for Catalonia, and aims to promote access to employment and improve job opportunities for participants.

What Is the Program?

The Program for the Employment of People in Situations of Greater Vulnerability is a support initiative of the SOC that enables organizations such as Mescladís to hire people who face greater difficulties in accessing the labor market.

This program combines two key elements: real-world work experience—gained through a contract in a professional work environment—and support, so that this first step becomes a pathway to stable employment.

Why It's Important for Mescladís

Since our inception, we have worked to ensure that training and employment serve as drivers of social transformation. We support people who, due to their immigration status, migration history, or personal circumstances, face additional obstacles in finding work.

This program allows us to build on that work: turning training into concrete job opportunities and offering participants an experience that helps them develop skills, build confidence, and expand their professional network.

The European Commitment to Inclusive Employment

The European Social Fund Plus is the European Union’s main instrument for investing in people. Its goal is to build a more social and inclusive Europe by supporting employment, education, and social inclusion. The fact that this initiative is co-financed by the ESF+ reflects a shared commitment among government agencies and social organizations to a labor market in which no one is left behind.
