Flavors That Tell a Story – Culinary Tourism

Put on an apron, learn from a real chef, and discover what makes Mediterranean cuisine so special—not by reading about it in a guidebook, but by getting your hands dirty.
Our culinary tourism workshops are designed for travel agencies that want to offer their clients more than just a pretty picture: an experience that connects them with the local culture, the people, and the traditional flavors.
The Experience Menu
Each session focuses on a selection of signature dishes from Catalan and Mediterranean cuisine. Participants don’t just taste the food—they also learn about the origins, ingredients, and techniques behind each recipe.
🥘 Paella — Spain's culinary icon, made with local ingredients and traditional methods.
🍮 Crema catalana — The quintessential Catalan dessert, with its characteristic caramelized crust.
🍽️ Tapas — Small dishes that showcase the diversity and creativity of local cuisine.
More than just a workshop: a social impact
Mescladis is a social inclusion project that uses gastronomy as a tool for integration and employment for people at risk of social exclusion. When your agency chooses this experience for its clients, it doesn’t just give them a memorable afternoon—it also supports a social enterprise model that transforms lives in Barcelona.
Travelers can sense it. There’s something about this place that can’t be faked: the authenticity of the people who cook, the story behind every recipe, and the pride of those who have found a new beginning in the kitchen.
"They travel to experience the culture. We serve them that culture on a plate—and tell them the stories of the people who prepare it."
Designed for large operators
Our experience managing groups of international travelers allows us to adapt to the standards and protocols of the world’s most demanding tour operators. We work with agencies such as Contiki, G-Adventures, and Trafalgar.
What does the experience include?
Each workshop is designed to be a complete experience, with no surprises for either the host or the guest. The group arrives, puts on an apron, and within a few hours has learned, cooked, eaten, and connected with Barcelona in a way that no museum or guided tour can offer.
We tailor the workshop to the group’s profile: from interactive sessions where everyone cooks together to demonstration-style sessions with tastings. The language, pace, and content are adapted to the needs of each operator.
We also offer the option of combining the dining experience with a visit to our social project, so that travelers can understand the human story behind each dish.
