Innovation, creativity and opportunities: our catering with EIT Culture & Creativity at the Barcelona Design Week
On October 8 we had the pleasure of hosting a catering event with EIT Culture & Creativity (@eit_culture_creativity) as part of Barcelona Design Week 25, at the inspiring Barcelona XRLab space (Palo Alto).
It was an event where innovation, creativity and sustainability came together to drive the future of creative technology in Europe, and where Mescladís added flavor and soul to the experience.

A cocktail with a local essence and a lot of affection
Our team prepared a cocktail of four appetizers made with local products, taking care of every detail from the selection of ingredients to the presentation:
- Patacón with avocado and pico de gallo
- Dates with blue cheese and walnuts
- Chipa Guazú with mascarpone
- Homemade ham croquettes
Flavors that reflect the cultural diversity that defines us and that demonstrate that gastronomy can be, at the same time, a space for meeting, learning and social transformation.
"Cuinant Oportunitats": learning and growing from the kitchen

This service had a very special value thanks to the active participation of the students of the project "Cuinant Oportunitats", who collaborated both in the kitchen and in the room service.
Through this program, Mescladís promotes the social and labor inclusion of people in vulnerable situations, offering them professional training in hospitality and accompaniment on their way to decent employment.
Their involvement in real events like this not only allows them to put into practice what they have learned, but also to gain confidence, experience and autonomy, being part of projects where quality, sustainability and social responsibility go hand in hand.
Gastronomy that transforms
At Mescladís we are committed to a sustainable and ethical model, based on organic, seasonal and zero kilometer products, working with fair trade and local suppliers.
Each service we perform seeks to nourish the body, the soul and the community, generating a positive impact on both those who enjoy our dishes and those who prepare them.
Because we believe that gastronomy can change lives, and this event during Barcelona Design Week was another example of how cooking can also be a tool for social and cultural innovation.
