Cuinant Oportunitats: we start new cooking and dining room courses!

During the month of August we have conducted 135 interviews for the cooking and dining room courses we are starting this month.

We would especially like to thank all the people who participated in the interviews and showed interest in our courses. Some have been able to start their training this September and others will wait for future editions.

M.O.I.S.S.: Mescladís - Opportunities for Sustainable Social Inclusion

Fundació Ciutadania Multiculturalania - Mescladís officially launched M.O.I.S.S. (Mescladís: Opportunities for Sustainable Social Inclusion), an innovative program that began in September 2024.

What is M.O.I.S.S.S.?
M.O.I.S.S. is much more than a cooking or cooking course: it is a comprehensive 16-month program that accompanies 180 people at risk of social exclusion -migrants, refugees, young people in exile and women in vulnerable situations- in a real process of labor, social and personal inclusion.

From September 23, 2024 to December 2025, 16 editions of this program, which combines technical training, professional internships, community development and personalized support for job placement, will be carried out.

Why is it different?
M.O.I.S.S. is specially designed for people that other programs do not reach - including those with irregular administrative status -and is based on sustainability, gender equity and respect for cultural diversity. In addition, Mescladís has five of its own catering spaces, which allows for real dual training and direct hiring possibilities. With the support of the European Social Fund and other collaborating entities, this project seeks to transform lives through vocational training in the HORECA sector (hotels, restaurants and cafeterias), sustainability and social justice.

Cuinant Oportunitats: practical, creative and transformational training

Cuinant Oportunitats is a comprehensive training program that prepares you to work in the world of hospitality, combining practical experience, personalized accompaniment and direct connection with the work environment. The training takes place in Mescladís social catering spaces, where students learn and practice in real contexts, accompanied by a professional team that guides them every step of the way.

🍽️ The program includes:

• 360 hours of apprenticeship in professional kitchens and rooms
• 120 hours of pre-labor internship in actual restaurants
• Personalized accompaniment throughout the training process

Cuinant Oportunitats facilitates job placement in the hospitality industry for people in vulnerable situations through a comprehensive methodology that expands opportunities and network of contacts, strengthening both personal skills and professional competencies.

The training takes place in the real context of our restaurant schools, providing students with a professional environment where they can apply what they have learned and prepare themselves optimally for their integration into the labor market.
