Mescladís Sustainable Catering at Zero Waste Festival

Last April 26th and 27th, Mescladís Catering participated in the Zero Waste Festival a unique event that promotes the transition towards a zero waste society as a response to the global eco-social crisis. Mescladís offered a catering service for more than 600 people, with a gastronomic proposal based on sustainability, respect for the environment and raising awareness about the impacts of our consumption choices.

The Zero Waste Festival

The #FestivalResiduZero, organized by Rezero, aims to promote innovative solutions to build a fairer, healthier and waste-free society. The festival is a space to generate and share knowledge and social and economic advances, promoting co-responsibility between the public, private and civil society sectors. Its mission is to standardize production and consumption models that guarantee less toxicity, reduce the use of resources and promote the reuse and extension of the life cycle of products.

This event was held at the innovative Espacio Palo Altoa creative center in the heart of Barcelona that since 1989 has hosted productions related to photography, design, architecture, painting and other creative activities. Over the years, Palo Alto has established itself as a benchmark for creativity, sustainability and innovation in the city, providing an ideal space for the creation and development of professionals and companies in the sector.

Palo Alto: A space for inspiration and sustainability

Palo Alto @paloaltobarcelona is not only a meeting point for creativity, but also a place committed to sustainability. Inside, there are more than 200 plant species that make up a green lung, in addition to being a benchmark in the conservation of industrial heritage and sustainable management. With a philosophy open to the neighborhood and the city of Barcelona, Palo Alto has been home to more than 60 companies committed to excellence, innovation and sustainability.

Mescladís Catering

In line with the values of the festival, Mescladís Catering following the strategies of sustainability in events offered a zero waste catering service for more than 600 people, using fair trade coffee from Alternativa 3and organic teas and milks. In addition, it prepared a catering service of its own production, using seasonal and proximity products, with vegan options and adapted to the needs of the attendees.

Mescladís also had the collaboration of students from the Cuinant Oportunitats program , who took part in this experience as part of their training, learning and contributing to the creation of a sustainable menu and quality service.

Mescladís' commitment to sustainability and social responsibility was reflected in every detail of the catering, providing festival participants with a unique, healthy and environmentally friendly gastronomic experience.

The Zero Waste Festival, held in such an emblematic space as Palo Alto, was consolidated as a key event to promote the transition towards a fairer, healthier and waste-free future. Mescladís will continue to work on this type of initiatives, reaffirming its commitment to the environment and the creation of a more conscious and responsible society.
