We launch our crowdfunding campaign on Verkami: Massa Mare Fronteres!
We launched this crowdfunding on Verkami, a collaborative platform that allows you to fund creative projects through communities 😀.
What is crowdfunding?
It is a solidary way of making projects that matter a reality, where each person contributes what they can - no matter how small - and together we achieve our goal. If we manage to raise the necessary funding in the established time we can achieve our project together!
Why do we need your support now more than ever?
Massa Mare is a scenic and community proposal promoted by Mescladís and La Otra Orilla, which unites live arts, gastronomy and critical thinking around urgent issues in times of exclusion, migration and institutional violence.
On Sunday October 5th, we will present the second edition of Massa Mare within the Viu Montjuïc festival, an ideal context to combine criticism, culture and proximity. But we want to go beyond this day: we seek to record, edit and disseminate this experience in a final format of artistic and educational short film, to broaden its impact and ensure that it continues to beat beyond the stage.
What will we achieve with your support?
- Reaching people who cannot attend in person, opening cultural presence without barriers.
- To preserve the memory of an ephemeral creation that vibrates with our reality and make it accessible in pedagogical, educational and cultural contexts.
- To break down economic, geographic or social walls that prevent the approach to living, diverse and transforming proposals.
Registering this edition is also a way to break down barriers of access to culture -economic, geographical or social- and to give continuity to a scenic proposal born of encounter, criticism and collective creation.
Massa Mare - Frontiers is not only a play: it is a space where experiences are shared, realities are confronted and critical thinking is built from the common. Its audiovisual documentation will allow this community value to continue to generate meaning where these questions are still urgent.
How can you add your support?

Some of the rewards include tickets, subscriptions to Convit/e magazine, gastronomic workshops, dinners with the team and more...
This is a collective project and your support is essential to preserve and share it beyond the stage.
Every contribution counts!
What is Massa Mare?
Massa Mare - A scenic gathering to encourage critical thinking. A co-production of Mescladís and La Otra Orilla.
What is Massa Mare?
In a context of growing polarization, where diversity is not reflected in the spaces of representation, power or decision making, and where hate speech, racism and exclusion proliferate, Massa Mare emerges as a multidisciplinary stage gathering that combines dance, theater, music, gastronomy and community participation. It is a space where the word coexists with other forms of expression to cultivate critical thinking and social dialogue through the senses.
First edition - 2025
It premiered at the Teatre Lliure de Gràcia to great acclaim. Artists such as Alexis Díaz Pimienta, Denise Duncan, Rita Payés, Elisabeth Roma, Isa Najem, Oulouy, Tonatiuh Cortés and Vanesa Freixa participated, contributing their universes in a unique collective experience.

Next edition: "Massa Mare Fronteras"
We are now promoting a second edition focused on the theme "Borders", in response to restrictive policies and institutional violence towards migrants. This performance will take place on Sunday October 5th at 9pm, within the Viu Montjuïc festival, reinforcing Massa Mare's commitment to critical and community culture.
Why do we need your support?
We want to professionally record this edition to turn it into an artistic and educational short film, preserving an ephemeral work and amplifying its impact:
To share the experience with those who cannot attend.
- To use it as a pedagogical and cultural tool.
- To facilitate its circulation in educational and community contexts.
- To break down barriers to access to culture.
Massa Mare - Frontiers is not just a work: it is a space of resistance, memory and collective transformation. Your support will make it possible for this proposal to continue to generate meaning where questions about borders remain urgent.

Who are we?
Massa Mare is a co-production of Mescladís and La Otra Orilla.
Mescladís has been promoting social inclusion for 20 years, defending the right to migrate and raising awareness through gastronomy, training and cultural and artistic projects such as Ciudad Migrante.
La Otra Orilla is a multidisciplinary and intercultural production company and artist collective that creates encounters between living arts, thought and territory.
To make the audiovisual record we countedon Cordegat, which is an audiovisual production company that has been working since 2016 on projects linked to sustainability, culture and social rights, with proposals that connect people through art and communication.
