Inauguration of the exhibition for the 20 years of Mescladís at Lliure Gràcia

On September 19 we celebrated the opening of the exhibition commemorating the 20th anniversary of Mescladís at Mescladís Lliure Gràcia, a meeting full of memory, art and community.

The day began with a colloquium opened by Martín Habiague, director of Mescladís, followed by the interventions of:

  • Luciano Gutiérrez, artistic director of La Otra Orilla
  • Elisabeth Roma, a reference in Catalan music, and Wahiba Baazaoui, alumni of the Cuinant Oportunitats program (members of the cast of Massa Mare in the May 2025 edition at the Teatre Lliure de Gràcia).
  • Rafa Crespo, anthropologist and coordinator of Intercultura - Associació UNESCO pel Diàleg Intercultural a Catalunya, who participated as an audience member in that performance.

During the colloquium, the essence of Massa Mare was highlighted:
"A cross between critical thinking, music, dance and poetry; a space for experimentation and improvisation where fragility becomes power".

The event concluded with the first screening of the short film Massa Mare, made from the close and poetic gaze of Cordegat, who also shared the process of creating this documentary piece, closely linked to the spontaneous and lively nature of the work.

This inauguration was also a direct invitation to the next edition:
