The Theater Institute Dialogues come to Mescladís

This January, the Altell del Teatre Lliure, managed by Mescladís, will become the venue for the 9th edition of the Diàlegs cycle, organized by the Postgraduate Course in Performing Arts and Social Action at the Institut del Teatre.

According to the Institut del Teatre itself, the Diàlegs cycle stems from the desire to "bring to the table the plurality of perspectives and approaches to artistic and cultural processes that are participatory, collective, and community-based" in educational, care, neighborhood, and street contexts.

For Mescladís, hosting this series means much more than just providing a space. It means opening the doors to conversations that fully connect with our values: culture as a tool for social transformation, artistic creation as a space for care, and community as the central axis of any process.

Over two weekends—January 23 and 24, and January 30 and 31—professionals from the performing arts, education, and community action will discuss community, diversity, collective projects, education through the arts, and mental health. The sessions are open to the public and free of charge.

New for this edition, the Diàlegs are being held in a space managed by a social integration project such as Mescladís, reinforcing the idea that culture is also built from places of welcome, decent work, and everyday coexistence.

The cycle will close on Saturday, January 31, with a concert by the Orquestra de la Bona Sort, conducted by José Manuel Pagán, outside the Teatre Lliure on Carrer Santa Madrona. This activity, co-organized with Mescladís and IT Acción Social y Comunitaria, is also part of the Fem Barri del Poble-sec initiatives and focuses on the relationship between art, neighborhood, and public space.

At Mescladís, we are delighted to be part of this initiative and invite you to participate, listen, share, and come together around words, music, and community.
