Saturdays April 5, May 3, June 7 from 11:00 am, we wait for you at Mescladís Montjuïc, on the terrace of the Teatre Lliure, to inaugurate a community and creative space that will become the meeting point of the neighborhood.
What is FEM BARRI?
FEM BARRI is much more than just an event: it is an initiative that seeks to build and strengthen neighborhood identity through art, culture and gastronomy. This space is designed to unite the community, promote dialogue and generate meaningful encounters that inspire collaboration and local creativity. The idea stems from the conviction that when we share our traditions, flavors and artistic expressions, we create bonds that make the neighborhood a more welcoming and dynamic place.

🎪 12:00 h | The little circus by Mesieu Moustache
A circus show presented by @teatrelliure together with the NGO Clowns Without Borders @clowns.org.
🎨 13:00 h | Workshop "Making the table".
A laboratory of creativity and encounter where we will collectively create a communal tablecloth that reflects the migration of ingredients, their stories and the magic of sharing in community.

During the whole day, Cuina Mobil in charge of Més que cures @mesquecures Més que cures is an association of women experts in community care and wellness. With the Cuina Mobil they will bring us flavors that take care of body and soul.

Workshop: Making the tablecreativity and meeting laboratory!

At the Fem Barri event, we will have an interactive art and food storytelling workshop: we will collectively create a communal tablecloth that captures the migration of ingredients, their emotional charges and the magic of sharing in community.
A community tablecloth will be intervened using materials such as fabrics, textile paint, brushes, stamps and more to capture emotions and memories. Organized by Mescladís volunteers, this project promotes intercultural dialogue and inclusion, consolidating the Terraza de Montjuïc as a meeting point where every story counts.

Enjoy the energy of the Ricardo Urquiza Group at Fem Barri. This group, inspired by the jazz quartets and trios of the Bebop and post-bop era, fuses the traditional with the contemporary, exploring jazz standards and their own compositions.
Since 2024, the project has been evolving and this process has transited from the interpretation of compositions by saxophonist Mark Turner and Kurt Rosenwinkel, to the culmination of the project with original compositions and the release of the first EP "Principle of Least Action" in 2025.

Fem Barri is gastronomy and community
At Fem Barrifood is a meeting point. In this first edition the Mobile Cuisine will be in charge of Més que Cureswho will lead the gastronomic proposal of this family day.
Més que Cures is an association of women in the Poble Sec neighborhood. Experts in the care and welfare of the community, they provide home care services to improve people's daily lives and their quality of life. They also offer child care and cleaning services for homes, premises, stairs and offices.
