We are waiting for you at Mescladís Montjuïc, on the terrace of the Teatre Lliure, a community and creative space, a meeting point of the neighborhood.

This Saturday, in our cultural bar at the headquarters of the Teatre Liure de Montjuïc, we celebrate a new edition of Fem Barri!, the community initiative that unites art, culture, gastronomy and neighborhood meeting. And this time, our cuina mòbil brings an irresistible proposal: homemade keftas, a street food classic that abounds in Morocco, Turkey and Lebanon, with multiple forms and variants.

Why kefta?

Zac works in Mescladis at the Producteur d'Emploi, and since he was a child, in the kitchen of his mother, father and grandmothers, kefta was always present as a traditional, simple and tasty dish. He learned to prepare it at the age of 13, with his mother, in the kitchen of their home in Toulouse. She brought it from Morocco, along with her childhood memories, her identity and her culture.

Barbecued, grilled, baked, in a tajine, in a sandwich or on a plate: kefta is a versatile dish, full of flavor and memory.

The keftas are the excuse. The important thing is what happens around the plate: getting together, sharing, celebrating and eating delicious food.

What is Fem Barri?

Fem Barri! is much more than just an event: it is an initiative that seeks to build and strengthen neighborhood identity through art, culture and gastronomy. Conceived as a community meeting space, it promotes dialogue and generates meaningful experiences that inspire collaboration and local creativity.

Our students in the Cuinant Oportunitats program actively participate in this and other activities as part of their training, playing a key role in the community life of Barcelona.
