Choro Cardenera is a trio that delves into the universe of the Brazilian Choro, considered the first popular musical genre of the country.
Instrumental in nature, Choro arises from the fusion of African and European influences, and is characterized by its rhythmic complexity, virtuosity and spontaneity.
The group is formed by three international musicians with strong links to the Barcelona Choro Club scene:
🎶 Augusto Britto, Brazilian mandolin player
🎶 Jérôme Silva, French 7-string guitarist
🎶 Lara Tannus, Brazilian percussionist
Their repertoire includes classics of the genre such as Pixinguinha, Jacob do Bandolim and Chiquinha Gonzaga, as well as original compositions.
