FEM BARRI – Living in the neighborhood through shared cooking and rhythms without borders.

This Saturday , February 14, Mescladís Lliure Montjuïc will once again become a meeting place to celebrate FEM BARRI.
An initiative by Productora Cultural de Mescladís that seeks to strengthen neighborhood ties through music, gatherings, and shared cooking, promoting community engagement. The project is open to everyone who lives in or visits the neighborhood, designed to activate public spaces from a diverse, festive, and transformative perspective.
In this edition, we are committed to a vibrant celebration that blends Latin American flavors with rhythms that invite you to dance and connect.

MOBILE KITCHEN - 2 p.m.
The day will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Cuina Mòbil. On the street, a gastronomic offering designed for sharing will be rolled out: vegetarian and chicken arepas, made to be enjoyed collectively, without rushing and in conversation.
Food as a meeting point, as an everyday gesture that builds community.
The mobile kitchen will be run by the students on the training courses, putting what they have learned into practice in a real-life context that is open to the neighborhood.
PAPAYA MUSIC CONCERT 3 PM
At 3:00 p.m., we will enjoy a concert by La Papaya Music (@lapapayamusic), a musical collective founded in Barcelona and made up of seven women from Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Chile, Guatemala, Mexico, and Catalonia.
With cumbia and Afro-Latin rhythms, tradition, and boundless energy, their performance celebrates cultural diversity and transforms the stage into a space for shared celebration.
DJ SET BY ARREBO.LAB 4:30 p.m.
The day will end at 4:30 p.m. with a DJ set by Arrebo.lab (@arrebo.lab), a producer born in Londrina (Brazil) and based in Barcelona, linked to Radio RBL. His work puts musical culture and community at the center, energizing the local scene and generating connections through sound.
It will be the perfect ending to continue dancing and inhabiting public spaces through music.
Building community through culture and cuisine
FEM BARRI is, in essence, an invitation to come together.
To celebrate the diversity that runs through us.
To strengthen the bonds that sustain community life.
