FEM BARRI – Saturday, April 25 · 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. · Mescladís Montjuïc
May 23 – Sabor Carioca
This time, the event draws inspiration from Brazil—its landscapes, rhythms, and traditional cuisine—to create an afternoon of collective, intergenerational celebration.
The schedule, hour by hour
1:00 p.m. · Trío Brasiliades
The evening kicks off with live music. The Brasiliades Trio takes you on a journey through the classics of samba, bossa nova, and forró with a contemporary twist. Elegance, joy, and the unmistakable swing of Brazilian music, with stops along the way at MPB and regional rhythms. An hour to let yourself be carried away.
2:00 p.m. · La Flama Club — Brazilian Food Truck for Cuinant Drets
One of the central themes of every edition of Fem Barri is the Mobile Kitchen, organized by the Cuinant Drets social and employment program. This time, the kitchen travels to Brazil with a popular, diverse, and accessible menu: cheese bread, stuffed fried plantain baskets, espetinhos, chicken wings, and brigadeiro for dessert, all accompanied by caipirinhas and fresh lemons. Flavors that speak to memory and cultural identity.
2:00 p.m. · Landscapes Come Alive — Poetry and Participatory Collage
At the same time, the artistic project*Els paisatges s’habiten*invites you to explore Brazilian geography through voice, words, and images. From 2:00 p.m. to 2:40 p.m., there will be poetry readings—of one’s own work or that of others—linked to emotional, sensory, and territorial landscapes. Following that, from 2:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., a participatory collage workshop where we will build together affective cartographies in which nature, memory, and territory engage in dialogue from a poetic perspective.
3:00 p.m. · DJ Arrebo.lab — Tropical Vinyl
The evening wraps up with a DJ set by Arrebo.lab, a sound forged between Brazil, Ireland, and the streets of Barcelona. As a producer, DJ, and radio host, Arrebo.lab transforms the dance floor into a gathering place: rhythm as a common language, culture as a shared celebration.
