Conversation. Juliette Robles : The Great River 19:00 Friday, October 24 - Altell

Juliette Robles Concert and Conversation :

 The Great River

19:00

Juliette Robles is an interdisciplinary artist and sound researcher. Her work crosses performance, archive and music to explore colonial memories, displaced languages and silenced spiritualities from a decolonial and migrant perspective. Through voice, body and sound, she creates spaces of resistance, reparation and symbolic restitution.

On this occasion she comes to present "El Gran Río", her new album that narrates a transoceanic journey from her homeland (Barcelona) to the Andes, going through the pain of uprooting and accompanied by the figure of Túpac Amaru. In her voice she sets out to (re)know the Andes with a poetic proposal that intertwines diaspora, memory and territory in a futuristic indigenous and ancestral sonority.

The voice as a river".

An intimate conversation between the writer Elisa Coll and the artist Juliette Robles about her artistic, performative and plastic project, and her new album The Great River. A sonorous and poetic journey that crosses oceans, diasporas and indigenous memories, where music and the river become a force for healing and resistance. The evening will also include the performance of previously unreleased songs from the album with musician Erkki Nylund.
